Kathryn Brown is a Senior Architectural Conservator at Building Conservation Associates, Inc. in Philadelphia, PA. Katie has 15 years of experience, specializing in the restoration and conservation of masonry buildings and fountains. Some notable projects she has worked on include the Jefferson Memorial, Longwood Gardens Main Fountain Garden, and Independence Hall. She recently completed a six-year term on the APT Delaware Valley Chapter’s Board of Directors. Katie received her M.S. in Historic Preservation from the University of Pennsylvania's Stuart Weitzman School of Design and her B.A. in Art History and Architecture from The Pennsylvania State University. Her master's thesis earned her the Charles E. Peterson Award for outstanding work in the specialized study of historic building technology.
