Building and Monument Conservation
Ivan Myjer is currently the principal of Building and Monument Conservation (founded in 1994) , a firm that offers consulting and conservation treatments for the preservation of traditional masonry buildings, architectural sculpture, stone monuments, industrial sites, grave markers and stone sculptures. Previously, Ivan was the director of the Conservation Center at the Society for the Preservation of New England Antiquities (Currently named Historic New England) and prior to that, Director of Restoration for the Cathedral of Saint John the Divine in New York City. Recent projects include the conservation of Roman sculptures in the collection of the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, conservation repairs to the façades of the Alamo and the San Antonio Missions as well as assessments of the historic masonry buildings on the campuses of Boston College, Harvard Medical School and Princeton Theological Seminary.
