John Festarini

Director, Quebec Waterways

John Festarini has worked with Parks Canada for nearly 10 years. During this tenure, he has managed a number of National Parks, National Historic Sites, and National Marine Conservation Areas across the country. Since March 2021, John has been the Director of Quebec Waterways and is based out of Montreal. Prior to his time at Parks, John worked with the Canadian Coast Guard where he served as the National Program Manager for the Canadian Aids to Navigation System. Before entering the public service, John worked in the information technology sector as a Program Manager at IBM and as a Service Desk Manager at Dell. Over the course of his public and private sector career, he has gained a considerable amount of experience and training in program and project management, service delivery, operations, relationship management, as well as strategic policy and planning.
