Lori Ferriss, Co-Founder and Executive Director of Built Buildings Lab, is an architect, structural engineer, and preservationist focused at the intersections of building reuse and climate action. Her research in establishing carbon accounting methods and standards of practice for existing and historic buildings has been featured in publications ranging from the Journal of Architectural Conservation to Architect Magazine and presented on-stage at the UN COP28 climate conference. Lori co-chairs the APT Technical Committee on Sustainable Preservation, served as the 2023 Chair of the AIA Committee on the Environment and is a Senior Fellow of Architecture 2030.
