Theresie Tungilik is an artist and art collector from Rankin Inlet, Nunavut. She has worked as an advisor for Arts & Traditional Economy, Department of Economic Development and Transportation, Government of Nunavut since 1999. She is the Chair of the Planning and Management Committee for Ukkusiksalik National Park, Nunavut. She has been on the National Board of Directors for CARFAC since 2017, becoming the President in 2023, and is a strong advocate for CARFAC’s Artist’s Resale Right campaign. Theresie participates on the Arctic Indigenous Advisory Circle and is an Indigenous Language Keeper for Qaumajuq at the Winnipeg Art Gallery, and joined the Board of Governors for the Winnipeg Art Gallery and Qaumajuq in 2021. She also joined the Reconciliation Council for the Canadian Museums Association in 2021.
