Pakesso Mukash, host of Maamuitaau CBC North – Quebec, spent his early years in Whapmagoostui, Quebec doing things small Cree boys love, hunting and fishing. When his parents moved to further their educations, Pakesso adapted to life on the south shore of Montreal. Before deciding on college, Pakesso returned home and was instrumental in getting a $1.7 milllion youth center built. He is one of the three members of the band CerAmony giving a voice on behalf of the youth. Music has taken him to major festival and finally all the way to the Canadian Aboriginal Music Awards. Today Pekesso is taking a break from the music scene and is applying his skills to the work he does for the CBC in Montreal.
