Patrick M. Moore is a distinguished Canadian carpenter and construction manager, known for overseeing multiple mega construction projects. He is also an internationally acclaimed expert in stereotomy, particularly the French craft of L'Art du Trait. Moore was the first English-speaking individual to be accepted as a "Compagnon Passant Charpentier" in France and completed his Master’s at La Grande École des Hommes de Métiers en Compagnonnage.
He holds a degree in construction management, two Red Seal Certificates in carpentry and cabinetmaking, three Gold Seal Certificates as a Construction Site Superintendent, Safety Practitioner, and Foreman, and is a certified National Construction Safety Officer. Moore is a member of several professional associations and has contributed significantly to the preservation of historical sites worldwide, including two UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
His work is featured in museums around the world, and he has authored numerous articles in leading journals. In 2014, Moore founded The Professional School of Practical Stereotomy in Ottawa, Canada, offering advanced education in this specialized craft. His expertise earned him the EB-1A Alien of Extraordinary Ability visa in 2023, recognizing his exceptional contributions to the field.
In 2024, Moore was honored with both the Woodworking Network’s Wood Industry 40 Under 40 award and the Ottawa Business Journal's Forty Under 40 award, celebrating his impact on the wood industry and his rising prominence in the business community.
