This session focuses on the preservation of historic buildings and spaces in relation to the challenges of climate change. These challenges include managing climate challenges in organisations, fire risk and management, flooding and architectural solutions to these risks. At the end of this session the audience will be able to:
- Describe climate planning action techniques created by organisms for building preservation.
- Identify flood risk in historic buildings and provide solutions for wet-flood proofing.
- Identify wildland fire behaviour and reduce the impact on historic resources.
- Incorporate architectural solutions of historic buildings considering climate challenges for future.
