In additional to his work on historic timber structures, Ron Anthony has a B.S. degree in Forest Management (Forest Fire Science). He spent 18 years as a volunteer wildland firefighter. After retiring as a firefighter, he served as a director, vice-chair, and chair of the Poudre Valley Fire Protection District in Colorado. He has served as an expert witness on wildland fire litigation in several states in the U.S. He is an APT Fellow and recipient of APT’s Harley J. McKee Award, Arthur J. Femenella Sr. Award for Distinguished Mentorship, and the Martin E. Weaver Award.
