A member of the Canadian Association of Heritage Professionals and the Montreal Heritage Council, architect Basel Abbara has unique expertise in the rehabilitation and restoration of heritage buildings. His specialty allows him to carry out a conformity analysis regarding the main architectural elements to be evaluated and to develop in-depth studies.
He participated in restoring the envelope of the Canadian Parliament, Toronto Union Station, and Montreal City Hall. Currently, he is managing the rehabilitation of heritage buildings with significant architectural features.
He has a master's degree in heritage conservation from the University of Paris-VIII and a PhD in urban planning from the University of Paris-XII. Since 1992, he has worked for several Canadian and international firms.
