A founding partner of EVOQ Architecture, and Fellow of both the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada and APT, Julia has received numerous awards for her architectural conservation work. She is a recipient of the National Trust of Canada Gabrielle Leger Award, and the APT Harley J. McKee Award, In 2018, she was appointed an Officer of the Order of Canada. In 2024, she was awarded the Medal of Merit by the Ordre of Architectes of Quebec. She is a Professor of Practice at McGill University and a professeure associée at the Université de Montréal, a published author and heritage activist.
