Carolyn Van Sligtenhorst – speaker bio
Carolyn has been working in the heritage conservation sector since 2007 and is supervising the Town of Oakville’s Heritage Designation Project. Her other work as a municipal heritage planner includes processing heritage permits, reviewing planning applications, preparing studies and policy reports, and working with numerous stakeholders to assess and protect heritage resources. Carolyn is a registered professional planner and a member of the Canadian Association of Heritage Professionals. She regularly speaks to realtor associations, heritage organizations and business groups about heritage planning. Carolyn has a passion for old buildings, architecture and design and loves combining these interests through her heritage conservation work in Oakville.
